Dr
Humeniuk graduated from the University of Adelaide as Bachelor of
Medicine, Batchelor of Surgery (M.B.B.S.) in 1970, and did his internship
at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
He then undertook Specialist Surgical
training at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital Adelaide, at the Royal
Adelaide Hospital Adelaide and at the Royal Infirmary and University
of Edinburgh
to become a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons
in 1978. Since then he has established a Specialist Practice in
General Surgery in the Western Suburbs of Adelaide.
In 1998, he established
the Western Breast Clinic and consolidated his position as a Breast
Cancer Specialist. He continues to treat patients with Breast,
Endocrine
and other General Surgical Disorders at the Western Breast Clinic,
having recently completed 25 years as a Visiting Specialist Medical
Officer to the University of Adelaide’s Department of Surgery
Breast Endocrine Unit.

repair – both open and laparoscopic
gall bladder surgery – laparoscopic usually
laparoscopic surgery for oophorectomy (removal
of ovaries)
laparoscopic surgery for splenectomy (removal
of Spleen)
laparoscopic surgery for intra-peritoneal
biopsy and adrenalectomy
vasectomy – day surgery under local and sedation
